For the fantastic Hologram Electronics Microcosm pedal, Sonic Freaks have designed a Max for Live editor. The Microcosm Editor allows you to remotely control all parameters of the Microcosm and save them as a preset in Ableton Live Suite.
The built-in Looper in the Microcosm pedal can now also be easily and conveniently controlled remotely. We have added a link function that allows you to automatically synchronize the starting and stopping of the looper with Ableton Live Suite.
With the Microcosm editor, it is now very easy to use, for example, just the reverb or the filter of the Microcosm without the granular effects. Because you have a direct overview of all parameters of the Microcosm pedal with the Microcosm Editor, you can make even more creative settings and quickly switch between algorithms and parameter settings. And if you want to be surprised, just press the random function that we have added. As a bonus, we also added 31 presets so that you can get started right away.
The Microcosm Editor is a real "Must Have" for all music producers who have a Microcosm pedal and work with Ableton Live Suite.
• Ableton Live Suite 10 or higher
• Hologram Electronics Microcosm with latest firmware (v1.13 or later)
• Midi interface with midi cable
We have tested the Microcosm Editor in Ableton Live Suite 10, 11 and 12 and optimised it for those versions of Ableton.
Since we do not have Ableton Live Suite 9 or 8 we have not tested it in these versions. So we give no guaranty for those versions.
The Microcosm Editor is a Max For Live device and only works in Ableton Live Suite 10 (or later) with Max installed.
At the moment there is no standalone veriosn of the Microcosm Editor. However, we may consider releasing a standalone version of the Microcosm editor. It depends on the demand for it.
Yes. If you bought the Microcosm Editor you can use the included presets and alter them to your liking for your music productions.
Sonic Freaks is in no way affiliated with Hologram Electronics.
